The Suspense is Killing Me!
Because it’s the middle of the week, and because people can’t help but love cats on the internet, I wanted to pose the question to you as a reader (or movie buff):
What is suspenseful to you?
For me, it’s the foreknowledge of something significant (good or bad), but not knowing exactly what, who, or when.
Good News Suspense:
“And the winner is….”
Bad News Suspense:
“The lab results are back, and…”
Scary Suspense:
Psycho with an ax is hiding somewhere in the house. Character walks into the house…
Tense suspense:
Bob has put up with enough abuse from his supervisor for years and has finally decided he’s had enough! He marches into supervisor’s office….
