No Kindle, Nook, iPad? No worries!

If you think you’ve been left out in the dark because you don’t own one of the cool new ebook devices listed in the title of this post, fret no more.

Chances are, if you are reading this post, you are either on a PC or Mac. Which means you can read Kindle or Barnes and Noble ebooks! How, you ask?

It’s simple. Ebook applications (apps) that run on your computer or your phone.

There is an application for Kindle books and Barnes and Noble ebooks (Nook) that run on your computer or mobile phone.

There’s also an application called Stanza which runs on your computer and/or moblie phone. I run Stanza on my iPhone.

The nicest part of all this is that the apps are free. And in addition to being free, you can synchronize your ebook library between your various devices–whether or not you have a Kindle or Nook. That means you only need to purchase your ebook once (from the Kindle store or Barnes and Noble) and you will be able to read them on any device you register under the same account (there is a limit to how many devices total you can do this with.)

So if you’ve felt left out of the exciting wave of ebook readers, you can now join in on the fun.

Download and install one of these apps onto your computer or mobile phone today and carry an entire library on your laptop or iPhone.

* Kindle App (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, PC, Mac, Blackberry, Android)

* Barnes and Noble eReader (iPhone, iPad,iPod touch, PC, Mac, Blackberry, Android)

* Stanza for Windows, Mac

If you are an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch user, you can also install these apps free from the App store.
